The Secrets Below Expansion

The Secrets Below!

Ancient artifacts of the lost civilization of the Thargians are hidden in the vast caverns below Ascendia. Do you dare to venture into the depths to claim their power for your own glory?...

A new character also joins the team - Add Torren-Dalkis to your game and extend play with up to five players now. He is an interesting chap, for he brings with him a new and unique ability for all players!  Being a Condorian Relic Hunter from the Imperial City of Kumor, he has travelled to Ascendia specifically to search for ancient Thargian relics. There is no record of them ever finding Ascendia, however their sworn enemies the Haroads came through the region centuries ago. Legends tell of a war bounty that a Haroad chieftain brought back and hid there before disappearing into the mists of time...

Torenn-Dalkiss has come to Ascendia to find it and maybe even claim the title to the throne!   Cavern Tokens -  Replace the three cave tokens from the base game with the six new cavern tokens. They are semi-persistent and serve as fast travel points and also grant you access to the new cavern exploration mini game via the cavern event card deck.

Dungeon Delving! - Choose nine random cards from the eighteen all new Cavern event cards and place them hidden in a three by three grid to create unique dungeons for each delve. Explore these cards from top left to bottom right, always choosing between two options, face dangerous and mysterious encounters and search for the rumoured ancient artifacts.

Ancient Artifacts - Discover in the new cavern event deck up to six unique ancient artifacts. These items are relics from the lost civilisation of the Thargians, rumoured to be hidden in the depths below Ascendia by Harpaidian raiders. They are imbued with arcane powers and grant you unique abilities. Collect multiple of them to earn Renown and become the greatest explorer the valley of Ascendia has ever seen!

NB! You can enter the caverns also from a ruin. When revealing a ruin token you can choose to either search the ruin as usual or instead explore the caverns with the cavern event deck! An interesting twist with this expansion!
